Pumpkin Spice Smoothie

I just got back from an amazing week in Jamaica, and just as I had hoped, when we got back, we were greeted with gorgeous fall weather!

What does fall mean for me? Everything PUMPKIN. Pumpkin spice lattes, Snickerdoodle pumpkin bars, Pumpkin gnocchi and ravioli, roasted pumpkin seeds, and this- Pumpkin Spice Smoothie.

As I’ve mentioned before, I love smoothies for breakfast. So in honor of fall, here’s a quick and easy recipe for a pumpkin flavored breakfast smoothie. The banana and pumpkin puree make this smoothie velvety and creamy like no other.

Health Benefits

Pumpkin-high in fiber, rich in antioxidants such as beta carotene, and loaded with potassium and zinc
Banana-high in potassium and fiber, and contain high levels of fructooligosaccharide (FOS) that, along with insulin, promotes calcium absorption.

Give this smoothie a try! And for a luscious dessert “shake”, switch out the yogurt for some vanilla frozen yogurt.
