We made it.

We are officially all settled in. I am absolutely in love with our home, the mountains, and the new town! (particularly my new kitchen, which was first to be unpacked and organized). I still feel a bit out of sorts, as we aren’t really on a schedule yet, and I haven’t joined a gym (gasp!)

I know its been a while since I blogged, so although I haven’t really cooked much worth blogging, I thought I’d share a little recap of what we’ve been up to! (this would have come sooner, but the computers just arrived today!)

We flew out super early thursday morning…I fell asleep in the car, and then basically slept the whole plane ride, despite nagging anxiety that something may happen to Peabody on the plane. These thoughts included that he could either 1) give himself a heart attack or stroke by getting scared or 2) drink all of the water in his huge bottle, therefore causing him to die of water intoxication. Yes, I realize this was ridiculous, and Kyle was sure to remind me of that several times.

I was so relieved when we got off the plane in Seattle to find him doing just fine :)

From Seattle we grabbed a rental car and headed for Wenatchee! Which happens to be the “Apple Capital of the World”, in case you haven’t heard ;) . We had some gorgeous views along the way…

and within 2 hours, we had arrived at our new place- We instantly felt at home…and all giddy.

We crashed pretty quickly that night, but were up at 4 the next morning (darn time difference), and got right to unpacking! With my parent’s and friend’s help, we were done by friday night! Which left more time for enjoying views like this from our front porch, with Washington Riesling in hand…
