Whole Wheat Pizza Dough
A few weeks back, I made Mexican pizza and promised to give my recipe for whole-wheat pizza dough soon. We made pizza over the weekend, and boy was it goooood. I was able to shoot a few pictures, and jot down the recipe. I love this whole wheat dough- it’s nutty, dense, and flavorful. Dough enhancer is replaced with Vitamin C and Soy Lecithin for added nutritional benefit.
Try this recipe whether you are making pizza, flatbreads, or even a loaf of bread. I know you’ll love it!

Ummm…husband rolling pizza dough is quite attractive I must say…

Whole wheat flour-good source of B vitamins, Vitamin E, magnesium, iron and fiber
Soy Lecithin-natural phospholipid that protects cells, fights against cholesterol, and supports liver health

Whole Wheat Pizza Dough
(makes 3-4 medium size pizzas)
6 cups warm water
2/3 cup olive oil
2/3 cup of honey, maple syrup, or other sweetener
2 tablespoons sea salt
3 tablespoons of instant yeast
3 tablespoons of soy lecithin
1/2 teaspoon Vitamin C powder
12-15 cups whole wheat flour
Directions
Place ingredients in Kitchenaid or Bosch mixer with paddle attachment, adding flour until dough pulls away from the side of the bowl. After roughly 5 minutes, dough should pull away completely. Transfer to a well oiled pan in a dry, warm place and allow to rise for approximately 30 minutes, or until doubled in size. Roll out to desired size, cover with toppings, and bake at 400° until brown and golden. Enjoy!
